MY JOURNEY
My work is shaped by both formal study and lived experience—what I’ve learned through motherhood, illness, grief, and the slow, sacred work of coming home to myself. This journey began in 2020 with my 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training, a doorway that reconnected me to the body’s wisdom and the timeless intelligence of breath, stillness, and movement.
But even before that, my deeper initiation into healing came through personal crisis. After a motor vehicle accident, I was left navigating a traumatic brain injury, chronic pain, multiple concussions, and the invisible weight of nervous system dysregulation. That season of life cracked me open—and slowly brought me home to a different kind of strength. Healing became not a linear path, but a practice of deep listening, surrender, and self-trust.
Alongside traditional trainings, I immersed myself in self-guided study—diving into neuroscience, trauma research, and the mind-body connection to better understand what was happening inside me. I wasn’t just learning from books—I was living the science through my own recovery. This gave me a unique lens to bridge modern research with ancient practices in a grounded and embodied way.
Formally, I’ve studied Ayurveda through CAISH Canada and Kerala Ayurveda Academy, with a focus on lifestyle, digestion, and emotional well-being. My work is also informed by certifications in Integrative Somatic Trauma Therapy and Mind-Body Coaching through the Embody Lab, as well as practices like Reiki, Yoga Nidra, Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), Myofascial Release, and Nonviolent Communication.
Each of these modalities has helped me understand the body as a wise guide—holding stories, pain, and possibility. And while the trainings have been meaningful, it is the lived experience of healing that continues to shape me the most.
This journey is still unfolding. I remain a student—of the body, of spirit, and of life itself—committed to walking alongside others with love, curiosity, and deep trust in the process.
